Hi everyone!!! If you follow along on my Instagram, you may know that I recently traveled to Boston and Nantucket. A lot of you guys were interested in my itinerary and how we traveled from place to place, so I’ll share how we traveled from New York to Boston and then Nantucket. I had never been to Boston and I found it to be very rich in history, charming and a great place to live. Do you have any Boston recommendations?! I’d love to hear them! Please share in the comments below!

HOW I GOT TO BOSTON

I was traveling from NYC and was meeting my Dad in Boston. He flew out from the west coast and I opted to take the Amtrak train from the city. The express train is longer than it looks on a map, it took about 4 hours but it had very comfortable seats, wifi and plugs — so I was a happy camper.

WHERE TO STAY IN BOSTON

We stayed at Nine Zero, right in the heart of Boston. It’s a contemporary boutique hotel and I absolutely loved it!

WHERE TO EAT IN BOSTON

Mike’s Pastry: Ok… I get this is not a place to eat, it’s a place to eat desserts! If you have a craving for cannolis, this is the place! They have just about every flavor and they are sooo good! The place was packed with no place to sit, so we cheered our cookies and ate them on the street.

Villa Francesca: This place is right in the heart of little Italy and we sat at the cutest window seat which was open because it was great weather. Amazing Italian pastas and great for people watching.

WHAT TO DO IN BOSTON

Explore the history: I live in NYC and I’m not typically into really touristy things, but my dad scheduled us a tour of the history around Boston. I love history so I found this fascinating. Seeing the grave sites of Paul Revere and Samuel Adams, where the Boston bombing took place, etc. If you don’t want to book a tour, you can follow the freedom trail, which guides you to each historical place in the city.

Boston Common: This park is absolutely beautiful and overlooks the city. It’s just below Beacon Hill – the cutest neighborhood in the city! If you go to Beacon Hill you have to see the cobblestone street of Acorn Street!

Visit Concord: My dad only takes me to the finest places.. cemeteries of famous historical people in history! haha. This one has a number of famous writers like Louisa Alcot who wrote Little Women. Concord was about an hour drive away, rivals Bostons rich history and home to Americas revolutionary war site. It has a gorgeous lake and a charming town with shops and restaurants. We went to The Colonial Inn for a drink which is an amazing hotel and restaurant with many different types of rooms from outdoor seating, to formal, a pub and Victorian dining rooms. For dinner we went to Artistry on the Green which has one of the chefs from the show Top Chef. Be sure to save room for dessert as these desserts were ah-mazing!

Museum of Fine Arts: If you’re an art lover, you have to stop over to this museum. I especially love impressionism art and I loved seeing the Monet paintings they showcased. My other favorite place to see Monet’s is in the MoMa which I talked about in this post.
